My friend Isabella is courageously fighting cancer - her faith and strength is amazing!
The leading sentence in the paper says it all: Isabella Bogner-Bader: The prodigy of the German cultural scene working intensively, despite cancer.
ZELL AM SEE. She is a singer, painter, performer, director, fashion couture designer and is often referred to as bird of paradise. But now it feels more like a chameleon: She adapts well to the gray phase. Artistically Isabella Bogner-Bader is at the peak of her work, the career is in full swing.
"A world collapsed" "It runs by itself now, I have requests from everywhere," says the artist. Through their stage shows in Paris with Jean Paul Gaultier, the media and the art world became aware of her. This was followed by shows including Milan, Berlin, Vienna, Munich and Salzburg. After the last great exhibition 2014 in Vienna, however, she was diagnosed with leukemia, a health episode in the life of this powerful woman and her family. "For me, the world broke apart" she says frankly. Overwhelming popularity in social media The all-rounder discussed her illness on social media publicly. The response was enormous, it was overwhelmingly popular. "So many people write that they pray for me," says the devout artist. Although she had many questions for God, but she was convinced that he had just expected of her the type of cancer that she could endure. In the hospital, Isabella Bogner-Bader started with notes that are now published as a book. "The book serves me as a crutch, only the last chapter is still missing," says the artist. Book of Hope "This is not a diary of my chemo. Anyone who has cancer knows and the others should not get scared," she describes her work. Rather, it is an autobiography with a smile. The central message: "You Never give up hope." Currently, she feels strong and started painting again. Her next exhibition is at the Attersee in early May but will probably take place without her, because she is preparing for a bone marrow transplant. In Vienna, two suitable donors were found. After the transplant, she will supplement this missing chapter in the book. credits from the original newspaper article Text: Gudrun Dürnberger Foto: Barbara Starzinger translation from the German original article by Otto Rapp
