OR MAYBE YOU CAN DRINK IT?
From my Wingnut Files:
US President Donald Trump has been lambasted by the medical community after suggesting research into whether coronavirus might be treated by injecting disinfectant into the body.
He also appeared to propose irradiating patients' bodies with UV light, an idea dismissed by a doctor at the briefing.
President Donald Trump suggested the possibility of an "injection" of disinfectant into a person infected with the coronavirus as a deterrent to the virus during his daily briefing Thursday.
Trump made the remark after Bill Bryan, who leads the Department of Homeland Security's science and technology division, gave a presentation on research his team has conducted that shows that the virus doesn't live as long in warmer and more humid temperatures. Bryan said, "The virus dies quickest in sunlight," leaving Trump to wonder whether you could bring the light "inside the body."
"So supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it's ultraviolet or just a very powerful light — and I think you said that hasn't been checked because of the testing," Trump said, speaking to Bryan during the briefing. "And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or some other way, and I think you said you're going to test that, too."
"(This is an) absolutely dangerous crazy suggestion," said Paul Hunter, a professor of medicine at Britain's University of East Anglia. "You may not die of COVID-19 after injecting disinfectant, but only because you may already be dead from the injection." ECONOMIC TIMES
WINGNUTS AND CONSPIRACY THEORIES IN THE TIMES OF CORONA VIRUS
There is a fine, and oftentimes rather blurry line between true spirituality and batshit-crazy lunacy.
Some people I know live in another universe where the law of gravity is optional (or so they think) floating above all common sense in a state of blissful rapture.
I had largely ignored this for the most part, but now it seems in the current corona virus crisis the crazies by far outnumber the serious contributions, comments and postings about the subject on social media.
As seen variously on Reddit and Facebook. Original author unknown.

Read the article 5G Doesn’t Cause Coronavirus on ExtremeTech
Conspiracy theorists are infecting YouTube and Facebook with bogus theories that 5G mobile internet is responsible for the coronavirus.
One prominent anti-5G Facebook group has shared a number of erroneous posts, claiming 5G is the culprit behind a virus that has infected more than 80,000 people worldwide. Its creator, Dutch “UFO researcher” John Kuhles writes: “I challenge anyone to watch this video at least twice and claim there is nothing to it, [or] it is all a coincidence. Yeah right. Certainly not.”

UPDATE TO THE LOONY BIN CATEGORY
At the same time as this blog got posted, the following news item appeared in the Guardian, so I am updating this blog on 4.4.2020 to add this disturbing report:
Telecoms engineers are facing verbal and physical threats during the lockdown, as baseless conspiracy theories linking coronavirus to the roll-out of 5G technology spread by celebrities such as Amanda Holden* prompt members of the public to abuse those maintaining vital mobile phone and broadband networks.
Facebook has removed one anti-5G group in which users were being encouraged to supply footage of them destroying mobile phone equipment, with some contributors seemingly under the pretence that it may stop the spread of coronavirus and some running leaderboards of where equipment had been targeted. .............................READ MORE
*Note: for clarity, I added a link to an article about Amanda Holden in case some do not know about her.
And just as I added the above, a couple of messages appeared on Facebook, with this link:

UK Phone Masts Are Being Set On Fire Over ‘Dangerous’ 5G Coronavirus Conspiracies
Bogus conspiracy theories linking the global COVID-19 outbreak to the rollout of 5G has lead to phone masts in the UK being set alight.

NOW LETS GET SERIOUS!
Facebook users have been sharing posts claiming 5G, not the coronavirus, is making people sick (here ).
The posts go on to include a list of various further claims that deny the reality of the virus and include various conspiracy-type arguments about the coronavirus.
